About Albatros

Much like Langdale Chase itself, Albatros has many tales to tell. Built in Berlin in 1928 as a private motor yacht before being confiscated for the German war effort, Albatros found herself operating as a passenger ferry in Lake Constance (known as Bodensee in German), shuttling passengers to towns and cities settled beside the water. Finding this magnificent piece of craftsmanship was a stroke of luck, and it just so happened we were searching for a vessel that felt at home with the sensitive restoration taking place at Langdale. A selection of beverages will be available for purchase throughout the cruise, including premium beers, sparkling wines, and a variety of soft drinks.

Safety first

Please be aware that for the safety and care of other passengers, dogs are NOT permitted onboard. Please also note, due to limited space and storage, pushchairs cannot be brought onboard, and babies will need to be held by an adult.
